Photos obtained by The Washington Sun show red paint slathered on the steps of Collins’ federal constituent office in Biddeford, Maine, with the words “BLOOD ON HER HANDS.”
Katie Brown, Collins’ chief of staff, said: “This is another incident in a series and the second attempt at our Biddeford office to intimidate the senator and her staff. These tactics are disturbing, but not effective. Our staff is undeterred and on the job.”
It’s not the first time the office has been defaced, with vandals spray painting the building’s door in September with the words “Trump Whore.”
An assailant also egged her Bangor home that month. Splotches of egg were found on Collins’ garage door, front porch, window and front door, she told WVOM, calling the attack “unacceptable.”

“I think it shows, unfortunately, the level that politics — even in the great state of Maine — have degenerated to,” she said.
Collins’ office is located near the spot where ICE officials fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastián Guerrero in July. After the shooting, activists stormed into her office chanting “vote her out.”
Her workplace has become a target for protests since then.
Collins, a Republican, is currently running in a tight reelection campaign against Democrat Troy Jackson. If she wins, it would be her sixth term in Congress.
The Washington Sun has contacted the Biddeford Police Department for preliminary information on the recent attack.
