Federal agents raided a Beverly Hills mansion connected to Eric Swalwell early Tuesday morning as part of an investigation into the former congressman, according to multiple reports.
In an emailed statement to The Washington Sun, the FBI said it “conducted an operation in the Los Angeles region related to an ongoing criminal investigation. We have no further comment.”
Swalwell, a Democrat, resigned from Congress in April after five women accused him of sexual assault and harassment. He has vowed to “fight the serious, false allegation against me.”
As part of a probe into Swalwell’s conduct, FBI agents seized his electronics earlier this year at the San Francisco International Airport, according to The Los Angeles Times.
