A power outage in Foggy Bottom on Monday morning affected roughly 1,100 customers, including buildings used by the World Bank Group, State Department and George Washington University.

Pepco said in a later statement that customers could expect power to be restored by 2 p.m., with the cause still under investigation and no indications of foul play.
D.C. Fire and EMS said in an X post Monday morning that it responded to reports of smoke coming from multiple manholes at the 1800 Block of H Street NW as Pepco worked on the electrical outages in the area.
