Conservative commentator Katie Zacharia has been offered the position of White House press secretary, according to a White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly.
She would fill a role that has sat vacant for more than a month following the departure of Karoline Leavitt.
The New York Times first reported that Zacharia had been selected.
It is not clear whether Zacharia has accepted, and the White House has not formally announced the pick.
