Sen. Ruben Gallego’s campaign gave $19,000 received from former Rep. Eric Swalwell to a sexual and domestic violence organization in Arizona, according to a new finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission.
A Gallego campaign spokesperson confirmed to NOTUS that the $19,000 was originally given to Gallego from Swalwell’s campaign.
The Gallego campaign donated the money to the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence on May 11, about a month after Swalwell resigned from Congress following accusations of sexual assault and misconduct.
