Aren’t we all looking for an escape sometimes? A roof deck might be just the answer, especially if you listen to The Drifters: “On the roof, it’s peaceful as can be, and there the world below can’t bother me.”
Whether you’re sipping morning coffee as the sun rises or a martini as the sun sets, a terrace in the sky can make you feel like you’re a millionaire even if you’re not. (Of course, for the utmost in rooftop glamor, someone may want to snap up the home at 99 Observatory Circle in Northwest D.C., which has an extensive private roof terrace facing west for sunset views. But that one will cost $9.5 million.)
For the rest of us, here are some options for a home with a private or shared roof deck priced under $1 million.
Which one would you choose? Or, have a comparison you’d like to see in an upcoming column? Let us know at metro@washingtonsun.com.
