Rudy Giuliani’s legal defense fund isn’t actually spending much on legal fees.
So far during the 2026 election cycle, only a fraction of Giuliani Defense spending has gone toward legal fees, according to the latest report filed this week with the Federal Election Commission. Of the more than $1.2 million Giuliani Defense has spent so far this cycle, most of the money has gone to fundraising consultants for mailing and postage.
That includes $442,000 to Texas-based fundraising service provider American Caging and $227,000 to Rockwell Solutions, a Leesburg, Virginia-based fundraising consulting firm.
Giuliani Defense also raised more than $1.2 million since the beginning of 2025, with money often coming from donors identified as retirees. Since July, almost all of the group’s donors who gave more than $200 are listed as retirees.
