Emma Baccellieri

Sports Reporter

Emma covers sports for The Washington Sun.

She previously spent eight years on staff at Sports Illustrated, where she covered a little bit of everything, with feature subjects ranging from competitive eating to competitive lifesaving. She led the magazine’s coverage of women’s basketball and wrote a coffee table book on the history of the sport, Court Queens. She got her start writing about baseball, which saw her audition to drive a bullpen cart, spend a day with a professional glove repairman, and cover five World Series.

She is a graduate of Duke University.
