Anusha Mathur is an assistant editor for Perspectives.
She serves as the primary editor for as-told-to projects and writes and reports Perspectives features. Previously, she covered politics at NPR where her work won a national Edward R. Murrow award. She also reported on climate policy for The Washington Post and young voters during the 2024 presidential election for POLITICO and POLITICO Magazine. In 2023, as a Pulitzer Center fellow, she spent several months in rural Panama investigating rapid development. She got her start interning at the Flathead Beacon, a local paper in Montana, where she covered rural politics and the environment. Anusha attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and won the Nora Magid Prize for the graduating senior who, “shows exceptional ability and promise in writing/reporting/editing.”
