NOTUS is launching a new interview podcast featuring the political leaders behind the major headlines in Washington.
Hosted by Reese Gorman, a well-sourced congressional reporter who walks the halls of the Capitol every day, each episode of “On NOTUS” will explore a member’s background, their journey to Washington and the issues that motivate them.
The first podcast guest is House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA). Other early guests include Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) and Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT).
“I talk to political leaders every day, and I’ve learned a lot about them that doesn’t always make it into our coverage.” Gorman said. “I’m really looking forward to bringing these informal conversations to our NOTUS audience in a new way.”
Audiences can find “On NOTUS” on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and many other platforms.

About NOTUS:
NOTUS is a newsroom like no other: a mix of veteran reporters and editors working with some of the country’s most promising up-and-coming reporters — individuals from different regions, backgrounds and beliefs who have come to Washington as fellows at the Allbritton Journalism Institute.
Together, we cover government and politics with the fresh eyes of newcomers and the expertise of veterans. We call it like we see it, no matter whose narrative it fits or how many clicks it will get.
